REQUIREMENTS

• • • Application for licence, not later than 2 months before intended date for commencement of practice.

    • The Private Hospitals and Medical Clinics (PHMC) Act (Chapter 248) (1980) and Regulations (1991)

    • required private hospital, maternity, nursing home, medical (including dental clinic) or clinical laboratory

    • (including xray laboratory) to be licensed by the Ministry of Health.

    • Register your business

    • Secure your premises. You can use only commercial premises that are approved for healthcare activities

    • to run your healthcare business given by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA).

    • Design/layout your premises. You should get approval from your land owner for renovations and receive

    • approval for building works and occupation of building works, fire safety works, works on conservation

    • buildings, and signage on buildings.

    • Obtain a dental clinic licence or other licences you may need

    • Hire workers

    • Comply with laws & regulations
