Business Permits



      • Ensure you are eligible for the food shop licence

      • Register your business

      • Secure your premises and must be approved for F&B

      • Ensure your premises comply with regulations. You must have approval to use the premises

      • for F&B, for building works, for fire safety works, for the food shops design & layout, occupation

      • of the premises, signage on buildings, outdoor refreshment areas, and designated smoking areas

      • Register your food handlers. Each food handler must undergo: 1) Typhoid Innoculation 2) Chest

      • X-Ray for food handlers aged 45 and above 3) WSQ Food Hygiene Course

      • Obtain food shop licence

      • Comply with environmental health regulations

Examples of Food Shops: Eating houses, coffee shops, food courts snack and drink counters, cake shops

and bakeries without seating areas , food courts, restaurants (e.g. Casual dining and fast food restaurants),

market produce shops, food caterers, markets, and cafes
